How Can The World's Citizens Stand Up To Earth's Billionaire Overloards? Bernie?

Being part of Bernie's Campaign, I started to have a dream / idea. My idea began to take shape.

Imagine the people of the planet demanding our billionaire overlords play by the same rules we play by. Our country is ran by rich people who basically corrupt elections with their super pacs. They own the media which controls the message, and control literal brainwashing of the population with propaganda and outright lies.

Or media rarely mentions tens of thousands dying from pollution, lack of medical care, or climate change. I watched a month of hurricane coverage on the MSM and heard the term climate change maybe three times.

Then I see Chris Christie leaving office, without being charged. I see people like Donald Trump spend decades laundering money for the Oligarch Criminals across the planet, and even if he pays a price, they won't. The wealthy rarely get prosecuted, regardless of the crimes they commit. They run the world as their piggy bank. English tea shops have to pay taxes, but the Starbucks next door is a Luxembourg company and doesn't. This is insane.

Six people have more wealth then half the world's population. This is truly insane. These six should pay half the world's taxes. Like that will happen.

Someday "the world" will have to stand up to this.

Any thoughts?

When the inequities of our time reach an unacceptable extreme, things will change.

We don't need violence. We, each of us, need to develop personal consciousness of right and wrong. Each of us is responsible for doing what is right, fair, just, equitable in our own lives. And then we will be able to change the world.

I am encouraged when I read most of the posts on DU because it is clear to me that many on DU have developed that personal consciousness of right and wrong and ARE acting and living according to that consciousness.

So I think that DU is an example of the direction that humanity can take to change the world. If all of us write and act and communicate with each other about what kind of world we want, a world of moral consciousness and of caring about each other, then we can change the world. We are the change the world needs and truly wants.

My thoughts on this issue. It isn't up to the billionaires to change. It's up to us. If we create in our minds and hearts the image of the world we want, and we share our ideas about it here on DU, we are making progress, we are moving toward creating that world. The billionaires will join us in our vision when we make that vision very clear and also very desirable.
