Don't have any particular reason to believe this, except that Mueller needs to show his cards before the 2018 elections. He can't be seen as playing political hardball. I'm sure he has the goods on these traitors, but needs to time his actions carefully.

Jared Kushner is a security risk embedded in the West Wing since he still hasn't passed a comprehensive background investigation required of anyone seeking a permanent security clearanceand no one will question the president's decision to put his son-in-law in a crucial government role, experts and officials told Newsweek.
President Donald Trump's senior adviser has been working under an interim security clearance nearly a year into the administration, as investigators continue to assess his trustworthiness and analyze his web of active foreign investments, according to two sources with knowledge of the status on Kushner's clearance.

(6,262 posts)Perhaps Mueller may have to release enough facts to make the move understandable to "the base." If it is possible to explain anything to them.
Otherwise - will be seismic.
Mueller will need a Plan B to guarantee that the process will continue if Rosenstein and Sessions are fired. Not sure if Trump can fire Mueller as he thinks he can. But if Rosenstein and Sessions are fired, that could lead to a new person with the constitutional authority to fire Mueller. Then up to Senate to refuse to confirm, and both houses to insist the investigation continue.
Given that the House will never impeach until possibly after the midterms, there will be paralysis, giving the Dump to wreak more havoc, which is his happy place.

(12,228 posts)Look at the way congress and the RW media is making Mueller out to be a bad guy; so when the house and senate vote, they won't appear to be doing it to save their own traitor asses.

My current thinking (always subject to change with this matter) is he will do it in the next six months.
