I am consistently surprised at those who express surprise at trump's assholiness

Each day, the media posts pieces expressing disbelief that he says and does the infinite outrageous things that emanate from him like toxic fumes.

He is what he has always been. As a "businessman", candidate, now president, it astounds me that anyone expected anything different.

It is hard to even come up with a suitable analogy - the most obnoxious, enabled, ignorant, loud troublemaker in school? Doesn't even become to approach it. The person in the neighborhood that sees to it that he is the least liked person? Nope - not close.

Trump is some noxious culmination of the very worst that a human being can be.

No. He's been like this for 70 years. Why would he change?

He is now the Oaf of Office. The POOO. The DOTUS.

That.is too good a word. He's not just your basic office or sports asshole. He has no redeeming values as a leader of our country, of the world, as a parent, or as a person. He is a total fraud. Malicious. Vindictive. He makes his lies up as he goes along, and if his reality show the following day, needs an alternative, opposite position, he is spot on it, with, "Believe me, believe me."

All the parts of the body argued over who would be boss

When the Lord made man, all the parts of the body argued over who would be boss.

The brain explained that since he controlled all the parts of the body, he should be boss. The legs argued that since they took man wherever he wanted to go, they should be boss. The stomach countered with the explanation that since he digested all the food, he should be boss. The eyes said that without them man would be helpless, so they should be boss. Then the asshole applied for the job. The other parts of the body laughed so hard at this that the asshole became mad and closed up.

After a few days…

The brain went foggy, the legs got wobbly, the stomach got ill, and the eyes got crossed and unable to see. They all conceded and made the asshole boss.

This proved that you don’t have to be a brain to be boss…

Just an Asshole.

he's a sick man and this has been clear all along. that people in the media continually act surprised that trump is being himself is infuriating.

i'm reading the dangerous case of donald trump. when all is said and done, we'll all get to say i told you so. that is cold comfort as long as we live with the very real fear that our democracy will fall to trump and the hopelessly sociopathic republicans.

the press and pundits, make allowances for it, accept it as normal, give him a pass.

We are literally losing our democracy -- and they play as if it's just another Republican president.

SPY pioneered the exposure and ridicule of Trump back in its day, of course, always referring to him as "short-fingered vulgarian Donald Trump"— and in this campaign, astonishingly, that epithet (and the general tiny-hand critique) resurfaced in a big way. As Trump became the Republicans' presumptive nominee, lots more people, pretty much every day, said to me, "SPY really needs to be rebooted, if only just for the election."

I never saw this......wonder what happened last year

Anybody?
