He's a hands-on governor, and is doing a great job, IMO.
But he doesn't have a lot of national visibility.

I'm thinking he'd be more likely as a V.P. nominee.

Seems well liked in community, very active locally. Came to my caucus last year, standing ovation from others.
Good progressive! I'd vote for him in a heartbeat.
