I don't think it's a scam. I don't know why you do.

I just find it odd this person has three GoFundMe accounts that I've found on the web.

If it's legit, so be it.

I have learned to question everything on these Interwebs.

Here are the three pages I have found so far from "her":

https://www.gofundme.com/to-buy-groceries

https://www.gofundme.com/skvnewmexico

People can do their own due diligence and come to their own conclusions.

Scams are the way of the world. I'm not telling you what you should be posting, but it seems to me that unless you have a reason to post that this particular go fund me is a scam, it might be irresponsible to suggest that it is without stating why. Having more than one plea for funds does not really mean anything nefarious is taking place.

Generally, people who donate, including myself, know that they are taking a risk. Many people donate in good faith after researching and coming to their own conclusions.

You may very well be correct, or you may not be. Whatever the case, I don't think you should be sowing doubt merely because another plea was indeed a scam.

If this one turns out to be a scam, then I'm sure measures would be taken. If I were donating on this particular plea (which I am not), I would simply place a call to the sheriff's office since it was mentioned that the office brought her food. That would be part of my due diligence.

I am a family support caseworker, so I do SNAP and Medicaid, quite frequently after helping my senior and disabled clients with SNAP or assistance with their Medicare premium they ask "how do I get help with heating?" You just can't live on those incomes and yet I have had to deny individuals SNAP and sometimes Medicare assistance because they are just a little over the income limit and you know if they are over the limit for the programs I work in they are probably over for programs like Heap. I do always do my best to provide them with as many resources, charities, churches, etc when they can't get help from me but it leaves me feeling sad for them. I wish I could approve everyone that comes into my office.

The links you posted have different dates. I saw my name on the one from last summer, looks to me like there were two. Kali also posted her DU profile. If she's in trouble at Christmas, I'm grateful that DUers have stepped up to help. And it's not like she's asking for a lot, just enough for her to get by.

tank filled. But then she realized she had other things she didn't have money for and her SS check was not going to arrive in time to pay for them.
