Poll question: Who do you think would be the toughest challenge for Obama?
There are too many republican candidates, so I will list the biggest ones that are likely to run.

5. "Apathy" and "pissed off base" shouldn't whine when they don't get what they want
from the republicans they help elect.

15. We didn't elect them in 2010.
We have no say in how our government is run. Centrists and their ideological friends in the Republican party are wrong when they say we are to blame for the policies they enact. We didn't cause any of this. So apathy is apropos when one has no voice. That is Obama's challenge. To get people to vote again for weak progress followed by Republican victories.

23. Romney would have the easiest time blurring the difference between himself and Obama
They kinda look alike and talk alike and they even have the same health care "reform" in their resumé. But hardright Repukes don't like Romney - will their hatred of Obama overcome their distaste for Romney? Could be.

And Obama probably is a multimillionaire from all his book royalties.

27. Obama's only problem is Obama
He needs to develop a backbone, drop the bipartisanship bullshit (it is mere cowardice) and go full tilt at the right wing crazies. If he keeps compromising with the devils he will be out of job.

If he shows fight, there isn't a candidate who can beat him.

31. I disagree. His move to the right will squeeze out any hope the Repukes have.
No moderate Republican candidate can challenge Pres Obama for the right of center. He has made huge points with them by throwing the left under the bus.

Our corporate overlords arent that unhappy with the President Obama. They are willing to wait until 2016 to elect Jeb.

Do not underestimate the racism. Combine that with Obama depressing the turnout of his own left wing supporters, (see the midterms of 2010) and he will lose. Especially with $5 gallon gas, falling property values and increased foreclosures, and unemployment above 8%.

Huckabee is probably his greatest threat right now. A Huckabee/Ron Paul ticket would be terrifying.
