1. But who will blink?
It had better not be the Democrats, too much at stake here.

4. The Regressives will blink. They know they'll get the blame if there's a shutdown.

10. But the Democrats will volunteer to blink for them, in the name of bipartisanship!
Don't want the mean pundits to say anything "unmutual" about you, after all!

2. There will be a last minute 'save', both sides will take credit, and both

6. Yes, some were saying it then. Of course, there's always going to be
two sides. But the Regressives also know what happened when they pulled that shit back then. They gave Clinton a second term.

They won't want to risk that again.

9. I don't know they are horribly arrogant and stupid
I would not put anything past them at this point.

11. They also lilly-livered cowards who use the sons and daughters of the commoners
to wage their wars and facilitate their crimes for them.

I'm not talking about '95.

13. And that's when Monica started working in the White House, because others were off work.
So, Bill met her and the rest is history.

7. This is war. They will be neutered if they capitulate. The Teafreaks will have their heads.
They are trying to make the 1099 requirement going away some great rollback of Obamacare. They will go nto a funk malaise, if we make them blink. With but to whip their own to row faster. With Debra Wasserman in there, we are going to make them look like luddites. The meme that they are facing this crisis because they cut taxes on rich, has no retort as of yet.

12. I hope not.
I already have a little two-day sight-seeing trip to DC planned for a couple of weeks from now. A shut down would really screw that up. ;)

(Well, I really don't want my trip messed up, but I am joking about that being a top concern is a situation like this!)

14. Yep. And, both sides will claim "victory".
The Repugs will say they got concessions and cut the budget. The Dems will say that their concessions aren't all that bad and could have been worse.

It's all rather pathetic.
