As the recall attempts progress, one thing is pretty clear: the Democrats have the boots and the enthusiasm to get ink on the paper and are well organized while the Republican effort seems to be lacking the organization, the financing and the shoes on the pavement.
While the Democrats proclaim that over 1/2 the signatures necessary have been collected, the only thing that we've seen from the right was some lame video of a piece of paper with one signature that had allegedly been destroyed by a union member.
Well, the right-wing media is trying to change that. There's no doubt that if the MSM takes an interest, the momentum could switch very quickly. Well, some righties are trying to flag this as the important event that it is. Is it desperation on their part or a preemptive battle cry for a coordinated response to mount an effort against the fight to save the rights of American workers?
Love the title for this one:
Unions vs. the little guy in Wisconsin recall fightRead more at the Washington Examiner:
http://washingtonexaminer.com/politics/2011/03/unions-vs-little-guy-wisconsin-recall-fight#ixzz1HzON4BK5If you're a Republican, it's a scenario straight out of "Alice in Wonderland." Fourteen Wisconsin state senators, all Democrats, flee the state for three weeks, bringing government to a halt in an effort to stop Gov. Scott Walker's budget bill. After three weeks, the fugitive Democrats return in failure. And then, when a rich and highly organized effort to punish lawmakers is launched, it's directed not at the Democrats who ran away but at the Republicans who stayed home and did their job.
That is precisely what is now happening in Wisconsin. Local and national labor organizations, enraged by the successful Republican effort to limit the collective bargaining powers of public employees unions, are pouring money and manpower into petitions to recall GOP state senators. At the same time, Republican drives to recall runaway Democrats, while rich in volunteer spirit, are working with far less money and organized support.

GOP Can't Ignore Wisconsin Recall Battle
http://www.realclearpolitics.com/articles/2011/03/27/dont_ignore_wisconsin_recall_battle_109362.htmlFor weeks, the national media focused on union protests in Wisconsin.
Aging hippies trashed the state Capitol. Union members were bused in from across the country in color-coded T-shirts. Democrat state senators hid in an Illinois motel.
Each little drama was an organized response to Republican Gov. Scott Walker's budget-repair bill that negated labor's influence with state employees.
You could not turn to any cable or network newscast without seeing Walker -- or other states' Republican governors and legislators copying him.
Then, through a legislative maneuver, Walker outfoxed the Democrats and passed his budget bill.
The TV crews' klieg lights went out. The political circus packed up. Our attention turned to Japan and Libya.
Perhaps we all looked away too quickly.
The story that no one talks about, that has the biggest impact on the 2012 election, is slowly brewing -- with Republicans barely paying attention.
