WI Repub lives outside district with mistress, says wife
Source: Raw Story

Protesters who marched at the home of Wisconsin state senator Randy Hopper (R-Fond du Lac) were met with something of a surprise on Saturday. Mrs. Hopper appeared at the door and informed them that Sen. Hopper was no longer in residence at this address, but now lives in Madison, WI with his 25-year-old mistress.

Blogging Blue also reports that Mrs. Hopper intends to sign the recall petition against her husband. The petition has already been signed by the family's maid.

3.  Plus - apparently he has not lived in his own district for a number of months
which would probably be enough in itself to void his role as Senator. Fond du Lac county recall committee members told me yesterday that they have collected nearly enough signatures to have him recalled.

4. He should just resign.
Even his wife wants him recalled. But these people have no shame at all.

18. You have to understand that he loves his country so much, and
in doing so the stress of it has made him do some very unfortunate things.

6. Isn't he break the law?
How can he live outside the district he was elected in? Isn't that against the law? I know a local elected official got married and moved outside the district she was elected in, and had to move back or lose her job. If this guy has been living outside the district he was elected in for some time couldn't that be against the law?

16. Bwahahahaha! Against the law....it's quite obvious from his actions in the performance of his
"duties" he could give a flying f*#$k about laws. But yes, I believe residency in the district you represent is a requirement of both law and common sense. Both concepts completely lost on this local administration.

20. Ask the Secretary of State of Indiana about that.
He was just indicted on 7 felonies related to lying about his residence. A Republican, naturally.

11. Apparently, she was fired when this became public.
Maybe she can move with him into his district now. I'm sure the GOP'ers who voted for him would appreciate that. :)

14. I doubt if she would be willing...
..to move to Fond du Lac, a city set firmly in the 1950's.

21. That's gonna be a problem for randy Randy, then. Those pesky residency requirements, and all!
Btw, I like Fond du Lac. It's a refreshing break when visiting my dad in West Bend. if Found du Lac is set in the 1950's, West Bend, home of Glenn Grothmann, is set in the 1850's.

That seems like a long shot to me.
