1. Must quote a poster from that site...
>"The fetus can feel pain”, whereas a newborn baby slowly asphyxiating for 15 minutes feels positively elated.

8. You really shouldn't read my msgs until you understand sarcasm.
It never ceases to amaze me what people think others are posting SERIOUSLY here, but I only wish I had a "hot key" for the :sarcasm: tag

9. I said earlier to someone I showed this site....
We show more sympathy to stray dogs suffering at the end of their life than humans.

Why is pointless suffering seen as "gods will" or noble?

10. You said you were quoting
what someone else had said. How was I supposed to recognize the sarcasm? I still don't. Was there even a poster? Did you just make that quote up?

11. We have a communication problem.
Are you messing with me?

>How was I supposed to recognize the sarcasm?

Because someone would have to be out of their fucking mind to say something like that seriously. Especially on DU. That should have been your first clue.

>Was there even a poster? Did you just make that quote up?

WTF? Do your homework before you suggest that I'm a liar.

1) Go to http://thinkprogress.org/2011/03/10/nebraska-abortion-law-tragic/ which was what the original poster submitted above.

2) Search for "Stoop_Solo" (the author and don't use the quotes). It's close to the top. Look up and down that thread and you'll see plenty of other sarcastic remarks.

While the writer (and all of the other writers in that thread) didn't label his comment as sarcasm, he was obviously using sarcasm.

The only reason I quoted it was that I could have stolen it and said it was mine, as I think it's a very good (sarcastic) commentary on the right wing's stand on abortion rights.

2. I lived in Utah...
you don't want to know the extent of what the white male Republican thinks of women and where we'd be if they had their way. It's pretty horrifying.

5. how utterly horrible for that poor woman.
however, she is wrong about one thing:

“If they thought about their daughter, their sister, their mother, their wife being in this situation, they would never want them to go through that,” Deavers said of the legislators who created the law.

they don't give a damn about the women in their own families either.

If doctors and your parents had been left to make the decision your exit may not have been so prolonged and torturous.

I'm so sorry little one.
