In some respects I wonder if FDR's New Deal was essentially a ceasefire rather than a panacea.

What do you see happening next?

1. I don't know what is going to happen next.
But I wish it would get on with it. Anything would be better than this slow-motion death by a thousand cuts.

2. No. I'm afraid it will be a whimper, not a bang. People don't seem to have
the fire in their bellies as they did in the 60's.

4. The New Deal should have been the end of hostilities
It has proven that a middle class is vital to the well being of all classes.

But...... the elites are like children who want their way no matter the consequence, even to their own detriment.

People will get distracted by something and the status quo will continue.

I'd like to believe people have realized that all of our hard work is only benefiting the top 0.01%, but people are stupid. Just look at how health insurance companies convinced people the government wants you dead. Look at how Wall Street brought the world economy to its knees, and yet nothing has changed. I hope I'm wrong.
