We’ve listed the office locations and contact information of Wisconsin state senators who voted the wrong way below. If you are in Madison, you can protest in person and stop by the offices below to express your outrage. But if you can’t be in Madison, you can make your voice heard by e-mail and telephone, to Wisconsin state legislators and their staff. These people just set workers’ rights in Wisconsin back a generation—and they need to hear that it’s unacceptable and un-American.
How does the electronic protest work?
It’s actually really low-tech. Instead of signing a petition or action alert that these legislators and their staff will ignore (like they ignored the protesters in Madison), we are providing you with the information you need to individually contact and every of these legislators—and each and every staff member—about this despicable bill.
Why not just sign a petition or an action alert to all of them?
While that would be easier for you to do, e-mails sent through our system could be ignored or marked as “spam” and blocked fairly easily by offices. We are not spam, we are real people, and we need to demand that our voices be heard.
What should I say when writing these e-mails and calling the offices?
Whatever you want—but keep it civil. The e-mails should be in your own words. They can be short or long. Here are a few things to think about:
* America, and the world, are watching what’s been happening in Wisconsin. This bill that was passed in the dead of night to deprive workers of their collective bargaining rights is totally unacceptable.
* Lawmakers need to reverse course. It's not too late to stop this and save themselves from severe electoral consequences, including a possible recall.
* When e-mailing staff members, tell them to urge their bosses to reverse their positions.
Anything else?
Once you’re finished, keep this going by spreading the word to friends and family who can also individually e-mail every single person on this list.
Whom should I contact?
Here are the senators who voted the wrong way, along with their staff members.
