Wing-nut friend says public sector making more than private sector
I saw a very nice graph pointing out the exact opposite right here at DU. I have been in search of it (yes, google is my friend, but I'm not having much luck with it) and wonder if anyone has a good link showing the diffences. Thanks.

1. Here's the deal.
Once all public sector services are privatized, none of the workers
will have any rights, benefits, or much in the way of pay.

That's the purpose of busting budgets, to move all public sector
services into the hands of cronies who give so much money to
politicians.

3. At that point, though, there will be noone left to pay taxes to
support those services.

why isn't anybody up in arms (and pitchforks) over THAT????

:wtf:

The wingnuts are using various *studies* available out there to turn non-union employees against unionized employees as a distraction against the real looters and elite in this country. :puke:

6. They do make more.
But they also have (on average) a higher level of education and more substantial job responsibilities. So you should expect them to make more.

7. He probably was listening to that Karl Rove group-financed ad
using a CATO Institute report that purpotedly shows a 42% income gap between unionized GOVERNMENT WORKERS and non-unionized GOVERNMENT WORKERS. Even the CATO Institute, which published the study and is certainly no fan of liberals (or unions), is criticizing the ad for not being accurate.

Send your wing-nut friend this link for rebuttal: http://tpmdc.talkingpointsmemo.com/2011/03/both-sides-assail-new-anti-union-ad-from-rove-linked-group.php?ref=fpb

Best of luck!
