Fellow citizens:
This weekend was incredible. Words can not describe the feelings I still have. Over 600 volunteers hit the streets to gather signatures this weekend. Seeing so much passion and fire among you all as you checked it, got your turf and came back all smiles. Hearing your stories about your experiences lets me know I really was never alone.
When I made that facebook page two weeks ago I never imagined I would be finding the incredible amount of support that you all have shown. I never imagined that so many of you felt as strongly as I do about what we are doing. We have only just begun and although I never doubted we would get the job done--you have all shown me that you never doubted it either.
I want you all to know just how important you are. Whether you collected 5 signatures or 50--it is the impact that you have on people when you ring that bell. When a fellow citizen cares enough to brave the Wisconsin winter to volunteer their time on a Saturday or Sunday to ask another for their support in something they believe in--you change the narrative. In doing what you have done you show the people of this district (and the state) that it is not a sound bite on TV or headline in the paper or picture on the Internet--it is about real people--just like you--who see beyond the politics and want to do their part to save humanity.
From the bottom of my heart--thank you.
As this weekend comes to a close I can tell you there is still work to be done.
We have a way to go--and I know you will be there to continue this journey we have begun together.
Once we have a permanent office to stage our canvassing from--I will let you know. Tomorrow I meet with the strategy team to sort out the details for the rest of the campaign. I will keep you posted on all developments as they come in.
Again--thank you.
Together, we will succeed. Together, we can't be stopped.
In solidarity,
Kristopher M. Rowe
