MARENGO, Ohio --

Morrow County authorities are investigating a report that someone burned a cross in a family's yard, and left signs referencing the KKK and using a racial slur.

According to family members, someone burned a cross in the yard of their home on County Road 258. Carved into the cross were the words, "KKK will make you pay" and another used a racial slur.

Jalisa Gibson said she saw what appeared to be a burned cross in her front yard.

"I was dissapointed, hurt, scared," she said.

5. I wish there were organizations which would make it their business to protect

the homes of people being terrorized by bigots. It should be easy for volunteers to work out watch programs, so people simply aren't helpless targets for right-wing racists, lunatics, criminally insane deviants.

What a shame this lady and her sister will have to absorb the fear, grief, disappointment, and probably a substantial financial investment by finding another home, letting the monsters win, allowing them to terrorize someone else, all over again.

8. This is a really sad situation.....

Southern Moron County,was until a few years ago,primarily Good ol boy country. Then the expansion of Columbus suburbs happened,with the large migration of yuppies. The good ol boys have been restless since the start of this migration. First it was new zoning laws,that were non existent before,then the addition of water and sewer systems...The good ol boys have been feeling violated. The new neighbors ran the dogfights,and Chicken fighting completely out. This story really doesn't surprise me,I'd hate to be the Sheriff of Morrow county.
