The People vs. Walker
This issue is framed just the way we would want it.... for once.

The GOP wants to re-frame the issue , and have tried and failed.

The President going to Wisconsin and protesting with the people would be a gift to the GOP.

Obama vs. Walker is a much easier fight than with the people of Wisconsin , the entire issue would be repackaged overnight.

My belief is that when your opponent is committing suicide , get the fuck out of the way, but thats just me.

3. My view is that this fight is already in good hands.
The GOP would just love to make this "Obama's fight"

And only we can give that to them.

4. When the people speak, the GOP can't frame it
The people must speak in mass to override the M$M propaganda. This is an excellent example.

5. they can demonize Obama
but not 100's of thousands of their fellow citizens. The STRENGTH of Egypt was that there was no ONE leader, but millions.
I agree, get out of the way, give him plenty of rope. Walker is his own worst enemy.

12. Yep, this guy is so full ofhimself he thinks that phone call didn't hurt him.
He is that stupid and greedy, a bad combination and not an indicator of future success...

7. No, it should be Obama and the Democrats vs. the GOP Oligarchs
This is much larger than whether Gov. Walker is a jerk.

He is a pawn in a much larger game being played by the National GOP and their Corporate Overlords.

While the people of Wisconsin seem able to carry on the specific fight in their state quite well, the President and democratic party ought to be giving strong and visible support and back up to working people and unions across the land in the meantime.

11. I don't think the national GOP is really excited about Walker.
They see the tide has turned

9. The President should stay out of it. We're winning without him.

10. I agree with you and so would Thom Hartmann. I was listening to him yesterday
and he opined that Obama going to WI would be a distraction and would change the whole focus of the WI protests. It is now, as you said, the people vs. Walker/Kochs/Republican attempts to kill off unions and thus gain more power over all workers. It then becomes Obama v. the Republicans, socialist vs. patriots, etc. He felt that Obama going would send the right-wing crazies into overdrive (more so than now) and it's far better that he stick with voicing his support of the protesters as he's done and staying out of it. I had to agree.

K&R and welcome to DU, badfish! :hi: :toast:
