First they came for the teachers

First they came for the teachers,
and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a teacher.

Then they came for the trade unionists,
and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a trade unionist.

Then they came for the Bloggers,
and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a Blogger.

Then they came for me
and there was no one left to speak out for me.

1. Recced but still at zero.
I've been reading some Teabagging websites recently and the angry venom expressed against teachers and unions is heartbreaking despicable.

And they have guns. And express that they are willing to use them.

2. If it comes right down to it

3. Actually I'm old enough to remember that the opening salvos were
aimed at the air traffic controllers and then at the "$40 an hour auto workers". This was back in Ray-gun's 1980's and we're now seeing the playing out of his plans for 2-tier America.

7. This was in my papers web site today in response to a gun
control letter.

We must all hang together on this and vote. Must get apathetic to vote as well. Not as important as American Idol or pro sports.

"Rex, we have to be careful and protect the right to bear arms by the citizens for the next time socialists try to take over and the peaceful protests of tea party like movements fail we'll certainly need arms to overthrow the socialists." ( edited to correct his spelling )

I could not resist this time.

"I will be glad when the Socialists take power.
We have guns too."

8. NOT teachers first
they went for the poor, the people of color, the muslims, those who questioned first...now they are going after the money...

they are raiding people's houses who question...we have to join hands with all, it's the ruling class vs. everybody else, no room for division, demand social economic justice now! Reverse profit before people...

10. Yup, that's it in a nutshell.
Break the NEA, and then privatize the school system!

12. NEA custodians, bus drivers and other support personnel have
been being privatized for decades and number in the thousands. Even in state and school unions they did not "come for the teachers first".

11. Well it appears that they're kinda going after everyone at once ... but K&R

15. Oh, they came for lots of other people before the teachers.
Look back over the past couple of decades at the food chain. The middle class are only noticing it because it's hitting them hard now.
