Hoooooeeeeee! I just sent pizza to the protesters!
YAY! I'm so excited! I talked to the now-famous Ross - who posted on Ian's Pizza's Facebook page last night that he slipped and fell in the snow and hurt his ankle! He said he's feeling much better and that they have him "on the phones today" instead of out delivering.

What a hoot!

I got in on the second attempt. They were so appreciative and happy. Ross said he just got off the phone from a guy from Santa Clara CA before me, so he had two California calls in a row. I asked what most of the protestors were asking for as far as pizza types and evidently the mac n cheese pizza is the most popular, although the veggie is, as well. But you don't have to specify a particular pizza. They'll take your order and do the rest.

Try it, you'll like it, if you've got a little extra change to spare. And if you can, don't forget the tip!

(608) 257 - 9248, then when it picks up, press 1 to place a phone order. You might get a busy signal at THAT point, but try again. You CAN get through!

:woohoo:

7. Shit, I'm running behind!
I've been posting these blackboard photos on my own Facebook page. Lots more added since just a couple of hours ago. Up to 31 countries! AND somebody corrected the spelling.

15. LOL Yes spelling corrected...
Some on FB were giving them a hard time about the spelling and about Puerto Rico being "part" of the US. Someone pointed out that until Puerto Ricans got representation and a vote then they were not "part" of the US. Love it.

11. Yeah we had a brief conversation about whose cows are fatter, WI's or CA's.
Pretty funny. They sounded mighty busy in there.

4. Don't you just feel great?
I have placed nine orders and I get this wonderful feeling that washes over me, every time. By my calculations, I have fed over 300 people (43 pizzas).

I hope you tipped well, because that's where the workers at Ian's make their money.

9. I tipped over 20%. If I can't tip, then I can't afford it...I won't scrimp on tips...
So far I've gotten one pizza, $50 worth of Cornish breakfast pasties and $25 toward a platter of fresh fruit/veggies (whichever my money covered the farthest).

I know that mostly the folks at the capital in WI will not starve but I really want them to know is that there are people of good will all across this country that stands in solidarity with them for what they are doing.

10. That's what it is all about.
I wasn't worried about anyone going hungry, I just wanted to do whatever I could to let them know that support is Universal.

When our statement comes in, I am going to be in a heap of crap. I have been spending our Travel Funds, and I am in for a ton.

Where did you order the breakfast pastries and veggies?

Not sure. Go to the Internets for that. Anyway, they are doing breakfast sausage/pastry stuff. Whatever.

I felt bad that those folks had to wake up to no food. My inner Mom wouldn't let me not care.

Funny, I don't even know who I helped feed, but it feels so good to know I've done so...

17. Well, you might have already seen these clips, but Ian's has
been posting clips to youtube about their adventure. . .so if you haven't seen the people you've been talking with - and some who you no doubt have been feeding, I'll post one link. . .:).

They also tell their story of how this started last week:

Just in case you haven't seen these...:)
