The irony of "Ignore Sarah Palin Week"
So I've been bombarded with facebook requests and e-mails about Leftactions "Ignore Sarah Palin Week". I'll be honest, I don't think her name ever hit my email inbox until I got about 10 emails about this subject. Now, I see nearly every day on facebook, somebody posting a link to the website, or talking about how great it will be to ignore her a whole week.

It just makes me laugh. I cant stand that idiot and would love it if she just stayed in Alaska and spent the rest of her life hunting and fishing. I wish no ill will towards her, but I hope I never see her in politics again.

But this event is ridiculous. All it has done is create hundreds, if not thousands, of facebook groups, webpages, email chains that do little more than bring her name into the spotlight. And I am sure that the week of this event will cause those participating to think about Sarah Palin much more than they would any other week because they will make an effort to ignore her by avoiding anything she does or says.

I like the idea, but I don't think telling millions of people about a week devoted to Sarah Palin is the best way to ignore her.
