4. True enough, but the Administration isn't winning any awards on this front either
Republicans are doing exactly what one expects Republicans to do. Our bigger problem at the moment is a Democratic (in name only?) Administration that is currently far too fixated on inflicting hardship on the poor and elderly to be bothered with creating a jobs program.

6. Obama is letting Republicans do the framing again.
The republicans are deciding what will happen and when.

So now the Republicans have decided that job-creation is off the table, and Obama is going along with that. All efforts, as meager as they were, have ground to a stop. :grr:

It is now all about responding and reacting to whatever the Republicans are doing.

Even his budget is being described in terms of a less evil image of theirs with similar priorities and decisions. Make only poor people sacrifice to pay for the economic downturn. Cut everything that benefits poor people, but none of the corporate welfare that benefit only the rich.

8. President Obama is painting republicans into a corner.
The Obama budget is focused and moves money to the right programs. I would like to see more re-distributed from defense to other programs. But overall, the budget is a good start at the difficult work that lay ahead.

5. Stopping abortion and gay rights are more important than jobs.
Just ask the republicans who just took over the Indiana House. The bills are being introduced at raming-speed. Creating jobs? Who campaigned on that?

7. Did you seriously expect one.
But WAIT! The easter bunny is on it's way, may be in it's pouch of goodies will be the republican's jobs plan.
