Flashback: Keith Olbermann was target of Freeper threats in 2006

In the weekend after the 2006 congressional elections where Democrats regained control of both bodies of Congress, the FBI arrested Chad Conrad Castagana, a 39-year-old California man suspected of sending threatening letters with white powder to Democratic politicians, liberal commentators, and even comedians. Castagana's targets were: Rep. Nancy Pelosi (who would become Speaker of the House for the next two Congress sessions), Sen. Chuck Schumer, Keith Olbermann, Jon Stewart, and David Letterman. Castagana posted on the conservative forum Free Republic as "Marc Costanzo." Olbermann addressed the threats on the November 15, 2006 Countdown.

Not to make light of the situation, but drama queen Olbermann put on quite a production even after he'd been told the powder was harmless and checked out by doctors and told he was fine. He demanded that he be rushed to the hospital for more tests. I wouldn't be even remotely surprised if he mailed it to himself. I've never seen someone more desperate for attention and approval. I heard from a liberal blog that Olbermann was a prima donna at the hospital, giving the medical staff and the cops a hard time. Keith is a whiny little b@tch! Accepting that, I do not believe he sent it to himself. But that is just guess work.

Still I look forward to seeing Olbermann's new cable show that'll be on the Current TV network (Current Youtube channel where you might see Olbermann clips).
