Thom Hartmann did his show
today from the Conservative Political Action Conference today. This caller, Frank from Albuquerque, N.M. (at the 2:35:30 mark in the linked video), started his call by saying that Americans need to "bring about change and demand accountability" like the Egyptians did to Mubarak...this time to the "conservative wacko criminals at CPAC" (Thom laughs). Frank then quoted FDR from his
1936 Second New Deal speech: "Government by organized money is just as dangerous as government by organized mob" (but Frank said "as bad" instead of "just as dangerous"). Then, calling out AG Eric Holder regarding the FBI's
arrest of suspected mafia members: "I'll give 10 to 1 odds right now that the Bush crime family alone in the last 30 years has committed more crime, killed more people, robbed more money than the all the mafia families have done since 1900! I mean, can anyone tell me with a straight face that the likes of the Koch Brothers, K Street, Chamber of Commerce, Fox News, and the Republican Party isn't involved with racketeering, influence, and corruption? Come on!"
Thom responds: "Yeah, time to drag out the RICO laws."
So I wonder how many people have been killed and money been robbed by ACORN, Planned Parenthood, the Tides Foundation, and the Democratic Party, as a Glenn Beck caller might've put it (and regarding Planned Parenthood might say "killed more babies than genocides have killed people throughout history").
And there's a reason why the Commanderin' Chimp would rather attend the Super Bowl than an international fundraiser event.
