In about 4-5 hours, Friday prayers will be over in Egypt and the crowds will...
...once again gather and give, en masse, their response to the immensely disappointing and patronizing message from Mubarak last night.

On Al-Jazeera just now, they were reading comments sent into them and one of them stuck with me: "This is the third Friday of Our Revolution. The first Friday was bloody. The second Friday was festive. We hope this Friday will be decisive!"

Indeed!

2. I honestly have no idea what will happen but I hope it turns out for the best.
I just wish I had a better idea of who was running the show, and where their loyalties lay.

3. As do I, but at gut level I have a really bad feeling about this thing

Dictators usually don't give up power easily and these protest are starting to wreck the economy. Not a good combination.

On a lighter note when I see the pictures on AJE of the protesters holding up their shoes I keep wanting to see Ed Sullivan stroll out on stage and say, "And tonight in Cairo we have a reeeally big shoe planned for you".

4. I'm a recovering HRC ...
Holy Roman Catholic and Irish American at that! My prayers will be with and for the people of Egypt this day and all of the days to follow.
