MSNBC: Obama had testy conversation with the Saudis
It looks like the Arab states that have no interest in importing anything resembling democracy are circling the wagons. Chuck Todd reported that, just yesterday, Pres. Obama had a testy phone conversation with the Saudi government.

2. Obama has to walk a very fine line.
Not many understand that.

Saudi govt wants Muburak to be allowed a dignified exit.

3. Good. It's about damn time.
The Saudis depend on the US more than we depend on them.

4. A revolution in Saudi might not go the way of democracy
The religious crew is quite strong there, unlike Egypt.

Alas they might be next

9. Would the religious refuse to sell their oil?
Because we don't give a damn about anything else. The current government is quite happy to fund extreme schools and terrorism against the United States.

7. Will the U.S. media avoid
fanning the flames of military intervention?

Their track record sucks.

12. I think the Saudis are next in line for a revolution.
Maybe he's trying to lay the cards on the table for them to take notice. After all, they were Bush and Cheney's buddies not Obama's.
