The horror of numbers: Worldometer
I found this little website this morning: http://www.worldometers.info/ it updates statistics about everything from the world population, to environment, to health in real time. Watching the numbers count up is staggering, especially on issues like energy usage from a nonrenewable source or the sheer number of those who have no access to clean drinking water. Very interesting site, but truly horrible to see just what the numbers truly are on those who are suffering from lack of food, the environmental waste going on world wide, and even how many days until we run out of Oil if current trends continue. All calculations are based from January 1st of this year.
