So . . . . . if not that, then what?
Across the country, governments at all levels are talking about cutting parks, services, programs, essentials. They're talking about finding new ways to raise taxes - most often consumption or use taxes, all very regressive - like beverage taxes, snack taxes, gas tax, dump tax, tolls, whatever.

Meanwhile, unemployment is still just below 10% (anyone else think that's a rigged number, just to make us feel than we would if we knew the truth?) and there's pretty much no change month after month after month. Remember the first time you heard the term "new normal?"

Anyway, so what do we do? Governments simply have no fucking money. Wishing they did won't change anything. So what do we do other than cut shit out of the budget? Oh sure, the feds can print money. But even that has an end. We may not be at that end yet, but there *is* an end. State and local governments, however, are really and actually fucked.

And so are we.

So . . . . if not taxes or closing things, what?

Yeah. DoD.

Okay, DoD. Done.

Then what?

We. Have. No. Viability. In. Our. So. Called. Economy.

Hey, I know. We can do a cash home refi . . . . .

1. We'll just start selling pieces of the country off to others and do lease backs 'till we
hit the hole in the bottom of the bucket called occupations and wars.
