Formaldehyde. Sugar and salt. GM crops. Mountaintop removal. What else does the . . . . .
. . . . Democrat-hating US Chamber of Commerce wish to allow and promote?

Dear Mr. President.

They would have taken the fruitcake and *still* tried to kick your ass. There is no amount of goodwill you can give them that will make them like you or even be willing to think about working with you.

In fact, unless you change parties and become an actual repubican, they will *never* go along with anything you promote. It really is that simple. You could give them free reign to use formaldehyde, sugar, salt, genetically modified seed, Monsantification of a farmer's freedom to plant his own soybean seeds, mountaintop removal, predatory labor practices, and any other damned thing they want and they would *s*t*i*l*l* work to your political destruction.

Why do you chase these rainbows?

1. That's right!
How do sociopaths and narcissists regard gestures of good will? They see a weakness to exploit and then they will demand more good will.

3. You're blinded by your black and white perspective.
You can see only two modes of action: fighting anyone who disagrees tooth and nail, or giving them whatever they want. A more accurate view, however, would show you that going and talking to your opposition is a sign of strength, not weakness, the same as it is in diplomacy. It speaks to not being afraid to talk to the other side, and it draws fence-sitters into your camp.
