Seven hurt by falling snow at Cowboys Stadium, site of Super Bowl
DALLAS -- Seven people were hurt by snow falling off of Cowboys Stadium, the site of Super Bowl XLV, on Friday.

League spokesman Brian McCarthy confirmed that all seven were taken to local hospitals, with two being transported by ambulance. None of the injuries were considered life-threatening, McCarthy said.

One person suffered head trauma and a concussion, and that person is in stable condition and being held for observation.

"We are continuing to evaluate snow on the roof," McCarthy said. "All stadium entrances have been closed except for the truck tunnel, which is away from the building by a very safe distance."

Could've held it in Pittsburgh, weather up here has not been that bad this week considering it is February.

1. Most of the snow in Arlington will be gone by game time
We're expecting temperatures in the mid-40s tomorrow.

4. What you heard is false
They regularly use salt/sand/de-ice spreaders here during ice. The issue is that it iced and then stayed below freezing for multiple days. Considering the area doesn't usually get snow like this, it's not hard to see they didn't have hundreds of plows in storage. They've been using them already and have more coming in from other areas of the state.

5. Wicked morons. Those are "accidents" that never needed to happen if the facility managers . . .
Gave a rat's ass about their people.

6. Right. Pittsburgh or Green Bay (my choice)
Either place knows how to handle snow, ice, and everything else.

And either place would be pleased to have the game. We'll put up tents for anyone who needs a place to stay.

Thirty below keeps out the riff-raff.
