8. Love it!
Sadly enough, though, this is no comic strip. It could be any nine people on Pox Noise.

10. Never ever got it.
Despised the man in 1980 and onward. And I was 17 in 1980.

Never got it. Still don't.

11. I remember people talking about him in the 70s as if he was Barry Goldwater or Rand Paul running...
...for President. He was considered a wingnut freak. Then, all of a sudden, he was nominated and elected.

Wha hoppen?

The Bush** Crime Family, I suppose...

12. I was 10 in 1983...and by then, already thought his name should be a dirty word
In 1984, when I read Orwell's _1984_, I was convinced Ronnie Raygun wanted to be Big Brother.

13. You had an advantage, being 17, among those who listen and read.
That's teachers moreso than students.

Suddenly, we left spoon-fed life of teachers in high school and college.

The baby boomers, myself included, were starting the work-a-day rat race that had us concentrating on lucrative ideas without much time for the thoughtfulness of being well read outside our work world.

15. I also remember putting my face up to the window of his limo while I was wearing...
...a rubber Nixon mask, during the 1980 campaign. That was sweet.
