There can be no "secular, Arab" Egypt if he resigns. Baradei cannot assume power - he would be a Kerensky for sure. Best wishes to the Egyptian people, who are more than capable of managing their own affairs.

6. The super conservative muslims there number
about the same as tea baggers here.

There, the entire country has been under surveillance, often with the help of the US, financially, with technology, and with our support of Mubarak. No surprise about what is happening. I have always viewed this country as a powder keg.
