Did I Hear Ed Schultz Say On His Radio Program MSNBC Made Him Drop Psycho Talk?......
I tuned in on an already started conversation with a person that called in. I thought I heard Ed say that he's not doing Psycho Talk on his 9pm CST program and that MSNBC made him pull it. Did I hear right?

He also went on to say that he moved into prime time and MSNBC told him there are more tv viewers available at that time. He is touting that saying that he'll have a bigger audience.

I really think he's kidding himself. In Chicago at least - for tonight - he's up against the Mentalist (CBS), 30 Rock and Outsource (NBC) and Private Practice (ABC) and local news on WGN. There is similar good prime time network programming for the other nights.

He was saying that he has not been muzzled by MSNBC and got very argumentative with the caller and ultimately hung up with the guy.

I really think that MSNBC put Ed on at Prime Time because they know that he'll lose audience and ratings. This will give them an excuse to let him go in 6 to 12 months.

I think he's gotten sandbagged by MSNBC. Any thoughts?

1. His high energy show doesn't work so well at 10pm
The time slot toned him down.

5. That and look how many hours he's putting in
Radio show is 12 to 3pm. Than his tv show is at 10 to 11. Looks like some long days.

2. It is not about what CBS has on at primetime. It is about what FoxNews & CNN have going on at that

hour. That is what it will boil down too.

3. I didn't hear his radio show so I don't know but
it wouldn't suprise me. I think he's got a crappy time, I watch other things at that time. The last couple days I've had to record Ed but then eventually I have to watch what I've recorded which is a pain in the ass. I think they stuck him with that time because they want him to fail. I heard that KO and Ed were both the big pains in MSNBCs side, so they probably are looking to get rid of Ed next.

7. At least in my home, Ed is now on at the time we (used to) watch. I rarely turned on
MSNBC before 7 pm Central; from 7 until midnight I stayed tuned in for the first-runs & the replays.

When Keith finds a good, new home I'll feel better about watching MSNBC.

8. Where I live
Ed comes on the same time O'Donnell did before this change. 8:00 my time but I don't watch the non thinking sitcoms. I find the other stations repulsive that carry these no brainer sitcoms. I watched MSNBC all week and will continue to watch those who I have supported for quite some time. If they are not on during the weekend, off to the food channel/network. I know that I cannot have everything my way so I work to get what is available.

There is no way giving up on MSMBC is going to happen here where I live. I'll support the Dems. progressives, liberals whatever you want to tag or as for myself, Independent thanks to DU opening my eyes. I'll always be a Dem supporter but felt I wanted to be an independent to keep an open mind.

How many stayed up to watch O'Donnell? Stay up to watch Ed and quit reading between the lines what you want to read.

9. I heard parts of Ed Radio, and that part of conversation....
He did say the it was the network's decision to move him to new spot, although he said he didn't object, and also they talked him out of psycho-talk, and he seemed reluctant to give that up. He's sick with a cold, so didn't have his usual fire. He's up against Anderson Cooper now but I don't know who on Fox. I think it would be difficult for anyone to follow Rachael.
