In honor of Keith Olbermann's Tweet and the KOEB: The One in Which He Wore THE TIE
Edited on Mon Jan-24-11 08:08 PM by Kalyke
Bleever: "...KOEB *is* kind of a radical concept: saving democracy by combining the acumen of political junkies with the energy of teeny boppers."

The One in Which He Wore the Tie, Part I

The One in Which He Wore the Tie, Part II

And his Tweet:

Citizens Of The Free World: Greetings! ........ (more to come) http://twitter.com/#!/search?q=%23FOK
15 seconds ago

My old user name is here.... I was a Clarkie... still am! I've missed my Patsy, my Rev., my Crispini, my sparky, my bleever, the BUNNY, but after I had the baby, I couldn't watch on time - had to DVR and watch later - yet, one of my daughter's first onesie's was emblazoned with KOEB!

6. "acumen of political junkies with the energy of teeny boppers"
Uh, no. Combining the "acumen" of teeny boppers with "political junkies"

Oh, Keithy, you're so fine, you blow my mind, Hey, Keithy.

"Keithy"

Oh Keithy, you're so fine you're so fine you blow my mind,
hey Keithy (huff huff), hey Keithy (huff huff)
Oh Keithy, you're so fine you're so fine you blow my mind,
hey Keithy (huff huff) hey Keithy
Oh Keithy, you're so fine you're so fine you blow my mind,
hey Keithy (huff huff) hey Keithy (huff huff)
Oh Keithy, you're so fine you're so fine you blow my mind,
hey Keithy (huff huff) hey Keithy

Hey Keithy!
You've been around all night and that's a little long
You think you've got the right but I think you've got it wrong
Why can't you say goodnight so you can take me home, Keithy

'Cause when you say you will, it always means you won't
You're givin' me the chills, baby, please baby don't
Every night you still leave me all alone, Keithy

Oh Keithy, what a pity you don't understand
You take me by the heart when you take me by the hand
Oh Keithy, you're so pretty, can't you understand
It's guys like you Keithy
Oh, what you do Keithy, do Keithy
Don't break my heart, Keithy

Hey Keithy!
Now when you take me by the hooves, everyone's gonna know
Every time you move I let a little more show
There's somethin' we can use, so don't say no, Keithy

So come on and give it to me any way you can
Any way you wanna do it, I'll treat you like a man
Oh please, baby, please, don't leave me in a jam, Keithy

Oh Keithy, what a pity you don't understand
You take me by the heart when you take me by the hand
Oh Keithy, you're so pretty, can't you understand
It's guys like you Keithy
Oh, what you do Keithy, do Keithy
Don't break my heart, Keithy
(Keithy, Keithy, Keithy, Keithy, Keithy, Keithy)

Oh Keithy, you're so fine you're so fine you blow my mind,
hey Keithy (huff huff) hey Keithy (huff huff)
Oh Keithy, you're so fine you're so fine you blow my mind,
hey Keithy (huff huff) hey Keithy

Oh Keithy, what a pity you don't understand
You take me by the heart when you take me by the hand
Oh Keithy, you're so pretty, can't you understand
It's guys like you Keithy (huff huff)
Oh, what you do Keithy, do Keithy
Don't break my heart, Keithy

Oh Keithy, what a pity you don't understand (yay)
You take me by the heart when you take me by the hand
Oh Keithy, you're so pretty, can't you understand
It's guys like you Keithy
Oh, what you do Keithy, do Keithy
Don't break my heart, Keithy

The point was never that he was (is) "fab," but that he was the ONLY anchor covering the stolen 2004 election. His intelligence made us KOEBers adore him..

You should try that sometime.

9. I'm not into hero worship or drooling over celebrities.
Haven't been during much of my life. People...are human. They have "feet of clay."

I find it extremely insulting to any person, to hold them to the "standards" of a "god." Worshiping a person has brought us crucifixion, hitler, stalin, mao, mussolini, 'baby doc,' shrub, palin, et. al.

Keith is a good spokesperson for the "left"; when it suits his purposes or paycheck. Let's not make him into anything other than that.

12. What you think is worshiping, most of us thought of as pure fun.
Sorry you have no concept of that.

None of us wanted him on the crucifix - we just were soooooooooooo thankful that there was another voice.

Let's not forget that he ushered in the "ADVENT" (pun intended) of the left finally having a voice.

And I can't listen to "Mama" on the satellite radio without thinking of YOU.

She only "turned gay" because she thought she wasn't good enough for you! (I'm kidding about the gay part, of course, but she still couldn't do better than you!)

He said he couldn't imagine a night when he didn't hear Keith. (I told him and he sighed and shook his head and dropped his eyes).

And, since he's 11 and the show was 8, I'd guess so. And, it's all my girl's EVER known.

41. I remember that. I think I was a lurker at the time.
I will never forget his special comment about Rumsfeld. That was one of his finest moments and well worth watching again.

Up 'til then we had not heard anyone challenge the Bush criminals so honestly. It's easy to forget now how few voices there were speaking the truth, especially on TV.

Keith was a voice in the wilderness during those awful times.
