Oregon Rep. David Wu, Democrat, responded to Rush Limbaugh's insulting and offensive impersonation of Chinese President Hu Jintao. Wu, the the first Chinese American to serve in Congress, found Limbaugh's remarks to exhibit "pathetic childishness," and a "fundamental lack of character."
On his radio program Thursday, Limbaugh, always controversial, once again sparked anger and protest after a disturbing and offensive imitation of President Hu. Many found Limbaugh's racially charged display a disgraceful insult to Asian Americans. Limbaugh, referring to Hu as the "ChiCom dictator," mocked the way visiting Chinese President Hu Jintao speaks, and in so doing managed to insult a sizable portion of the world's population.

Rep. Wu told ABC News:

"What begins as an ugly display quickly becomes as striking for its pathetic childishness. Mr. Limbaugh proves once again his disinterest in civil and thoughtful discourse, and in doing so he ridicules one of the world’s oldest languages, insults the Chinese American and Asian American communities, and disrespects the 1.3 billion people of China."
