A question on volunteer emergency services rendered...
If a volunteer department is unable to secure a crew to respond to a medical emergency and requires a mutual aid request to a neighboring paid; full-time department should the family be required to render the 'in-kind' donation to the department in addition to the cost billed to the insurance company for the mutual aid response?
