Rep. Barton votes to repeal ObamaCare
Published: Friday, January 21, 2011 12:56 PM CST
WASHINGTON — Rep. Joe Barton issued the following statement after the House of Representatives passed a bill that would repeal ObamaCare, fulfilling a campaign promise that Republicans made to voters during the last election:

“We voted to repeal ObamaCare today and will tomorrow start working on replacing this trillion dollar job-killing, care-rationing, tax-raising law with common sense, market based reforms that will actually lower costs for small businesses.”

Um...end of statement...

2. Ole Barton
I have written letter after letter to my Congressman Barton complaining about his stance on health care. Of course, I get the form letter reply saying he is doing what his constituents want.
Unfortunately he has never offered me his replacement version "health care reform idea."
Living in East Texas has been pure hell, never have I witnessed such hate and stupidity. They just hate the black man.

3. Welcome to DU
And don't worry about getting Barton's disconnected form letter when you write him. Keep writing. His refusal to engage on the subject is an indictment of him, not you.

4. Hey, welcome to DU!
I'm a recovered Republican myself. I recovered in 1966. Recovered so well that the Democrats are usually too conservative for me, but I vote for them.

Seeing as how you are not BP, I don't think Joe Barton notices your messages. :)

10. Hi there, RR!
Another East Texas Democrat here. It's hell.

They do not undertand ANYTHING around here.

I went in the post office and got some Simpsons stamps. I asked the people in line if they watched it. Nope, never heard of it. But then you have to engage your brain to catch the signs and the jokes. It's only been on 20 years. I guess they only watch stupid sitcoms with laugh tracks so they know when to laugh like a Pavlovian dog.

:banghead:
