Next year, there will be an election for the Senate seat currently held by Republican Scott Brown.
Who would you likely vote for if the election were between Brown and Democrat Elizabeth Warren?

Republican Scott Brown 39%
Democrat Elizabeth Warren 43%
Someone else 4%
Not sure 14%

Brown Approval rating: 37/49 8% strongly approve & 25% strongly disapprove.

6. If you look at the people by who they voted for in the 2010 election,

Brown voters are slightly overweighted. He got 52.4% of the vote, but here he got 55% of the vote. It also seems the number of people with positive attitudes towards the tea party is high for MA. On the other hand,it looks like they have more Democrats than you would expect.

The company that did the polling uses invited responders on the internet and then adjusts for the demographics. This may add some bias if the people uncomfortable doing that differ from their peers who do participate. Their track of Obama's nationwide approval is lower than Gallup's. In addition, scanning policy items, they are the ONLY poll that I have seen that approve of spending cuts (about 75%) to close the deficit, but far less than half approve of raising taxes. (?!) So,it may be that the type of people they get are more tea partyish than the population at large.

This polling can not make Brown happy - especially when you look at the internals.
