Help Wanted...Questions on surrogacy

Hey friends,

Well, my partner and I have come to the decision that we are going to move forward on the topic of children. With my partner in his 40's and me in my is 30's, we have decided that now is the time. We are going to go the surrogacy route and could sure use ANY and all direction and advice that we can get.

We are hoping to get the ball moving by the middle of next year for a 2013 birth. Does anyone have amy recommendations on a surrogacy agency or thoughts on how we should proceed.

1. Research the laws and case law of your state concerning surrogacy.

B/c of Marybeth Whitehead, NJ allows a surrogate to invalidate the contract and make claim of the child. Other states may have followed this precedent.

And if your state does allow surrogacy, do your research include a comprehensive psychological profile of your surrogate.

2. Go through an agency, do not hire an independent.

3. I have found multiple agencies online.

Is there any in particular that I should look for?
