Interview with Mahlon Mitchell, potential Democratic candidate to face Walker in recall

It seems like the Democratic party would love to at least see this guy run on the ticket against Walker, and I think if he gains momentum he may be the man to take on Walker. The guy is only 33, so that is a concern, but there is no question he is gaining popularity in Wisconsin.

1. Our candidate is only 33 also, but we look on it as a good thing
he has time for a long career in public service.

Ken Aden for 3rd District of nw Arkansas...running against Steve Womack.

2. No.
We need someone with the state-wide name recognition or we'll end up with Walker winning again.

Let him run for the Senate or something else.

3. A good guy, but I'm not convinced he can win....
... I'd like to see Dave Obey run, but he may not have the energy.

4. I agree
Obey had a great career and did a great service for Wisconsin in the House, but he is old and lethargic now unfortunately. I think name recognition is irrelevant, the second a candidate is chosen to run one on one with Walker he/she will be a household name overnight. I actually think somebody like Tom Barrett(who lost to Walker in the 2010 election) or Russ Feingold would actually bring unwanted baggage to the race. In a race like this it might be great to not have a record that Walker can pick apart for Wisconsin independents.
