I can't remember who were deriding the notion as a vast conspiracy and demanding 'proof' that there were 'Star Chambers' and what-not, but there are a bunch who tut-tut the notion here.

7. Perhaps they have a different theory

as to why those with the most wealth, power, and influence seem to get their needs met very consistently, and have their grievances not only heard, but their case made by those who allegedly are meant to serve the public interest... while those with less wealth, power, and influence have to wait for major revolutions to have their issues resolved to any meaningful extent.
