1. Of course not. For what?
Certainly not for his remarks. While vile, disgusting and exclusionary, that IS his opinion and he is entitled to it.

Just another reason religion needs to be a private matter...

Just asking.

3. I never stated that I was "ok" with his remarks.
And if Obama said something similar, I would be just as put off, but that certainly would not be an impeachable offense.

6. Lets reverse it.
If Obama said something like that would you support a move to have him impeached?

8. I would, indeed.
At least it would be thoroughly discussed in the House. NO President should ever say anything like that. You may disagree.

7. You should have added an option "No and he SHOULDN'T be".

Before someone tries a tired personal attack or strawman I will save you the time.

I don't support or condone all speech but still believe it is protected speech. Obviously these are his opinions. If he didn't say it he would still have the opinions. Better for him to put it out in the open so people know where he stands.

17. "...except those who don't believe in Jesus."
Why was that part outside of your quotes? Because he never said that maybe?

11. Nope. Who would impeach him? The voters that just voted for him?
He was elected as Governor, not anybody's "brother."

Now, some folks may think twice about voting for him again.

The current political climate won't allow for a white bread God Fearin' Murkin to be charged with anything even remotely relating to violation of the first amendment. These wingnuts wipe their butts with that portion of the constitution, until they can invoke it to protect their beliefs.

13. Shouldn't think so.
Didn't Daddy Bush say, "No, I don't know that atheists should be considered as citizens, nor should they be considered patriots. This is one nation under God."? Which is even worse than what this governor is saying. And he wasn't impeached.

19. For what?
Last time I checked, expressing ones opinion was not an impeachable defense, no matter how horrible that opinion is.

On what grounds would he be impeached?

18. I don't see this as being that much different than "I believe marriage is between a man and a woman"
If you lived in Alabama, would you want to be his "brother" or "sister"?

His is no more a discriminatory statement than that which is in my subject line.
