10 Things Siri Can Do That May Surprise You
Nowadays for iphone users, Siri is a thing of huge interest. There are so many trick and articles regarding how Siri work, its commands and tricks. Although there is so much written but there are 10 things about Siri that are not highlighted. Today we are going to put light on these and tel you more about Siri and its working, hope you like it.

1. What’s on my Calendar:

Siri will keep you up-to date about all the appointments that you have scheduled.  Not only that, but specifying a period of time will have Siri determine if you have events set inside that time frame. You just ask Siri  “What do I have scheduled for the month of June?” and Siri will show you all scheduled appointments between June 1-30. Siri will keep full record of your appointments and work

3. Look up random stuff with Wolfram Alpha:

Now you can search about different stuff with help of Siri. Just ask Siri to find anything from web and Siri will give you the best results available on web.. You can say things like, “How many days until Thanksgiving?” or “Create a secure password” or “How many calories are in an apple?” or “What is the time zone in London?” The list go. and all time you get good results.

4. Look up color swatches:

One particularly cool Siri feature is the ability to look up hex color values. Designers can say “Wolfram pound sign E 9 7 4 5 1″ and the color will be converted to RGB values. A swatch will be displayed showing the color on-screen.

5. Get your math questions answered:

Wolfram Alpha is a powerful tool for answering complex mathematical questions. The next time you’re stumped on your calculus homework, ask Siri to help.

7. Oh, I don't know. Didn't seem like an ad to me. I'm interested in
what intelligent agent applications are up to these days. I suspect we'll be seeing more and more such apps as time goes on, and that's not necessarily a bad thing. For people who aren't highly skilled in digging up information, it could be very useful. I'm kind of amazed how poorly most people configure Google searches, for example. Since part of my work is SEO-related, I've been studying search phrases, and how people actually search for information, etc. Sometimes, it's very non-intuitive, so I've made some interesting use of that research, and it's working.

Just because Siri is connected with Apple doesn't mean it's not of interest. Watch for much more of this sort of thing. It's fascinating.

52. Yes, the ones that know nothing about computers or email viruses.
Apple is easier to use. Not much technological savy necessary. You don't need to know how to fix crashes because you can't. Becomes obsolete in a few years due to not accepting new operating system upgrade. Try getting into the system registry (similar) of an Apple!. Good luck. I have a computer that is 8yrs old this December. Started off as a 1.7 mghz single processor. It is now a quad with 8gig of RAM. Try that with your rotten Apple.

37. It looks like the dumbing down of cell phones to me
When I see the commercials on TV, I just think to myself "is that girl too dumb to realize she needs a locksmith to get into her locked car?" or is that person too lazy to click on their calendar button (which takes a shorter amount of time than saying a phrase to the phone)?

I'm just amazed at the stuff that comes out from Apple that people go crazy over.

You should have seen what it did to my request to calculate a standard deviation.
The voice recognition isn't where it needs to be. But it's made me wonder about all the capabilities I could have used on the Internet but didn't.

48. Android's own voice control ability is excellent.
Methinks Schmidt's concerns were less about competition and more about telling Congress, "Hey, don't regulate us, we have competition!"

FWIW, I don't think Siri is any more advanced than Android's own voice capabilities. Siri and VA may have slightly different command sets that give each a few unique features, but I don't think there are any clear technology leader between the two.

51. I've had many of those same features long before Siri
Various Android apps have all had similar functionality for a while, until more recently they were separated and different apps had different features. Apple didn't do a bad job, Siri is buggy just like everything that preceded it but it's nothing groundbreaking.

22. 11. Will cause me to switch from Apple to Android
There is no technical reason (despite what Apple would have you believe) why the Siri application will not work on at least some previous versions of the iPhone.

If Apple is going down the road of forcing equipment upgrades to work with their latest apps, I want no part of them. My next phone will not be an iPhone.

29. incorrect
the processing power required for natural language speech recognition needs the horsepower that the 4S's have. Now, will it run on iPhone 4? Yes but it's going to run like poop. Also, Apple is all about the user experience.

And you're just now questioning whether Apple tries to push customers to upgrade to use their new features? LOL.
