of the Repugs. I think it said that they would take out TV spots and ads and mount a full court press against the Repugs and repeal.

Does anybody remember this or was I dreaming? Is this happening or has it happened? Has anyone seen any of these spots?

If they haven't here is a slogan they can use that would also fall in line with what Bill Frist is saying:

"Don't Repeal - Reinforce"

2. Personally I'm glad there are no progressives to speak of...
...in the Senate.

If there were, there'd be a non-negligible risk of a righto-leftist coalition being cobbled together that would be large enough to actually pass the House's repeal legislation, cobbled together from those who don't want any bill, and those who want a better bill and need the ACA dead in order to clear the way for it. They may differ on the 'why to do', but not on the 'what to do'.

Obama would still veto it, but needing to veto it would look very bad.

3. So far it hasn't been generating a lot of good press for Rethugs
So I imagine they are saving their money. This is suppose to be round 1 for the Republicans. Their plan is to keep going at the bill for the next two years because they believe Dems will not be up to running on it in 2012. The problem is its poll numbers are doing better and better as people finally are learning what is really in the bill. Much like Bushes giant push to privatize social security, this push to all or nothing repeal HCR hasn't been polling like they planned. One wonders if this initial step really isn't a 1 then done thing.
