And leave it to the likes of Buchanan to bring something as offensive as lynchings into the conversation.

there are a great number of people who believe this. They aren't asking questions like; "Can you tell me specifically when this happened?"
"Where have you heard that?" "Who, exactly, on the Left, is discussing this on a nationwide platform?"
So when he says this kind of thing, millions and millions of our fellow Americans lap it up like baby formula.......... :shrug:, and that's a PROBLEM!
