Cain: I don't need to know the foreign-policy details
CORPUS CHRISTI, TX -- Former businessman turned presidential frontrunner Herman Cain continued his attempts to calm voters concerns over his lack of foreign policy experience during a campaign stop here Wednesday night.

Relative to foreign policy, I dont need to know the details of every one of the issues we face.

"Weve got plenty of experts who can fill in the details, Cain said at dinner held by the Nueces County Republican Women.

The former Godfathers Pizza CEO told the 900 supporters in attendance that the key to dealing with issues abroad is to develop a clear foreign-policy philosophy, a line he often has repeated on the trail.

That philosophy: clarify who the United States'- friends and enemies are something Cain says President Obama has failed to do.

1. Damn. That more than anything else about him is frightening.
This is almost Dubya-level ignorance. And pride in it!

5. No wonder the anti-intellectual gomers love him
He's supported by the same ultra right wing nuts of the party that orgasmed with delight every time Sarah Palin boasted about never having read a book.

9. Wasn't that basically what Bush the Lesser said? Look where that got us.
At least Jr. knew he wasn't the sharpest knife in the drawer, Cain fancies himself intelligent.

14. For the GOP, it's not what you KNOW that matters; it's what you BELIEVE.
For them, an ideal candidate is one who espouses all the right beliefs and signs all the correct pledges.

15. On Real Time With Bill Mahr
last week it was said by one of the panelist that Cain was actually a motivational speaker for the last 15 years. I wonder if he lived in a van down by the river?

16. Well, that's true: since he doesn't know any of the big picture, the details will do him no good.
Of course, a president DOES need to know both the big picture and the details; but we're talking about Cain, so what the president needs to know is irrelevant. ;-)

17. yup, he's gonna develop a crystal clear foreign policy without
knowing what the details are.

Sounds murkier than hell to me.

Maybe he'll just give everyone in the world pizzas.

18. No, he doesn't
Because he's not going to be president of anything, least of all the United States.
