My sister in Florida is very close to a family who left after Fidel removed Batista. They became friends when their children started school way back when.

I've been part of several conversations with them about that period in history and all the kids know the stories. There is no way you grown up in a household and do not know when your parents arrived in Florida pre or post Castro.
