Scott Brown Takes Heat for Swipe at Elizabeth Warren’s Looks as GOP Women Defend Him
Sen. Scott Brown has infuriated women’s groups by poking fun at rival Elizabeth Warren’s physical appearance in response to her put-down of his nude photo shoot when he was a law student, yet he also is being defended by two female Republican senators.

The controversy started Tuesday, when Warren, a Harvard professor and consumer activist, took a shot at Brown during a debate. She and five other Democratic candidates seeking to oust Brown from the seat once held by Ted Kennedy were asked how they paid for their college educations.

The questioner noted that while Brown was in law school, he posed nude for Cosmopolitan in a photo spread. Warren began her response by saying, “I kept my clothes on.”

“Thank God,” Brown replied with a laugh during a radio interview Thursday.

4. EW was responding to a question asked, and it made no judement
about Brown's looks or whether what he did was right/wrong.

Brown's was more an attack on Warren's looks.

but EW actually has a body many women would like. she could get away with more tigher, shorter clothes and look good in it if she wanted. but she mostly dresses conservative .

5. I'm with you
I thought Ms. Warren was making a joke, and I thought Mr. Brown was responding in kind. I also think the media is trying to make more of this than need be, in order to keep from addressing the actual issues we should be discussing. I'm really getting tired of these kinds of "news" stories. I want to know where each candidate stands on the issues that affect me and my children. Scott Brown's spread in Cosmo is not one of them.

that will be the real joke

she shouldn't be wasting her time on the senate

primary Obama

and to not understand the difference between their responses.....what can one say to that? Brown was NOT responding in kind, as an earlier poster has most effectively pointed out

he's a typically smug, mean spirited republican prick, whose idea of 'cleverness' in response to an oblique reference to his questionable judgment is an attack on his opponent's physical appearance

reminded me of the way #41 characterized his debate with the late geraldine ferraro
