In Freedom Plaza, 14th & E NW, we have the October 2011 group which at least currently seems to be mostly Code Pink & friends (but is only just setting up).
In McPherson and Farragut squares, 16th & K NW and 17th & K NW respectively, we have Occupy K Street (formerly Occupy DC), our spin-off of the Occupy Wall Street movement.
Most interesting to me, at 17th & L we have a local carpenters' union protest about a contractor there undercutting wages.
This protest is literally in front of the Washington Post's front door and has been for about a month now, and has gotten as far as I can tell 0 stories written about it, unlike the first two. Color me not surprised.
I would really love for some of the Occupy K Street or October 2011 people to walk a few blocks up into the real city and march with the union for a little bit...
