If the field of medicine had had its own Steve Jobs
Then the Steve Jobs who passed yesterday might still be with us.

Every 18 months for 5 years?

Took twenty-odd years to get to where we are with AIDS medicine. Not a valid or complimentary comparison.

might just be a tad deeper than the complexities of a fucking computer or phone?

you're right. it is not a valid comparison but for totally different reasons than you suppose.
