Simple question - how come Rev Wright's sermons

upset Palin and the RWs so much. Rev Wright never once went where Palin has taken us in terms of violent rhetoric. He merely spoke the truth re racism in America. The same people who are giving Palin a free pass attacked Obama over Rev Wright.

I didn't find his "goddamn America" comments particularly objectionable but his claim that Jews were controlling Obama? Ugh. His comparison of Hillary to the Romans and Obama to Christ was repugnant. His claim that AIDs was developed by the gov't to wipe out black people, etc.

And then Pat Robertson is on TV every night literally saying "God has damned America".

6. IMO, Wright's vengeful omnipotent being was very similar to their vengeful omnipotent being...

with the difference only being that each side has their god punishing humans for different things.

Either way, both sides have extremely simplistic and primitive philosophical world views.

His comments about Jewish string-pullers and the origins of AIDS represent myths that shady people use to manipulate the uninformed. Spreading such idiocy is reprehensible.

However, what I thought was unfair about the whole thing was that President Obama was being held accountable by the RW for Wright's words and supposedly holding Wright's same views simply because he and his family attended his church (even though he has never expressed any kind of solidarity with Wright on all or most of his controversial views). Also, I'm sure many of his RW detractors currently attend churches and/or listen daily to hate radio hosts whom spew equally bigoted and inflammatory garbage on a regular basis.
