3. Being a liberal involves more than ...
badmouthing the very obviously bad right-wingers. That's kind of a no-brainer.

The question is what kinds of policies he believes are good for the nation and its people. That's a whole different ball of wax.

6. Tweety is a Democrat. That means that some of his positions are left of center,

and some are pretty left. But like most Democrats, he's not far left, and he's not a conservative.

He's very knowledgeable about history, fair (most of the time) to his guests, and asks interesting questions. But like KO, Larry, Big Ed, and others...he has a political information and entertainment show, so his main purpose is to probe his guests about current political events while being entertaining. He does a good job, IMO.

8. I am not watching, but there are a few generic things about the Tweet that guide his thinking
He is a devout and practicing Roman Catholic who was educated by Jesuits.

He is from Philadephia, PA, and has a brother who is a Republican who ran for office (governor, I think) a few years back and who has some funky local political position.

His wife used to be a newscaster, she now works for MARRIOTT.

He did time in the Peace Corps in Africa.

He used to work on the Hill and in the WH-- for Ed Muskie as a junior staffer, Jimmy Carter as a speechwriter, and Tip O'Neill as a top staffer.

He voted for GW BUSH in 2000.

Put all those aspects of his being together, and you can pretty much determine what sort of Democrat he is. He's not as liberal as some would like, and he's not as conservative as some think.
